    Cowl – 24” circumference and 7½” high

Needles:
    US 10 (6.00mm) 16” circular for the hat and 24” circular for the cowl
    US 11 (8.00mm) 16” circular and DPNs for the hat and 24” circular for the cowl to get gauge
Gauge: 3 sts = 1” in Checkerboard stitch, steam blocked

Note about yarn usage: One skein each of MC and CC is enough to make a hat and cowl if MC and CC are inverted for the second piece. 2 skeins MC and 1 skein CC are needed to make both hat and cowl if MC stays the same.
