Manos del Uruguay Matilija, designed by Grace Akhrem, is
an asymmetrical shawl knit in luxurious Fino. The accessory is knit in a stitch
pattern that expands from a wash of tiny stars to a scattered sprinkling. This
fabulous wrap is knit flat from end to end. Manos del Uruguay Fino is a soft,
shiny single-ply fingering weight yarn in exquisite hand-dyed colors. The
luxurious blend of Merino and silk gives Fino a soft hand and gorgeous drape. The
star stitch pattern is in written form only.

Finished Measurements: 71” high along right selvedge; 39½” across diagonal top edge and 63½” along the diagonal left selvedge
Yarn Requirements: 2 hanks Manos del Uruguay Fino (70% Extrafine Merino/ 30% Silk; 100g/490yds) shown in 419 Brass Button (WEBS do not carry this color)
Needles: US 6 (4.00mm) 32” or longer circular
Gauge: 21 sts and 27 rows = 4” in stockinette stitch, relaxed after blocking
