Manos del Uruguay Tulipan is a lovely crescent-shaped shawl knit in Fino. The wrap is knit from the top-down, beginning with a garter tab cast-on with a sweet and simple stockinette stitch and then finished with a simple lace border resembling tiny tulips. Manos del Uruguay Fino is a soft, shiny single-ply fingering weight yarn in exquisite hand-dyed colors. The luxurious blend of Merino and silk gives Fino a soft hand and gorgeous drape. The lace border pattern is in chart form only.
Finished Measurements: 80” across top edge and 21” at the deepest point, after blocking
Yarn Requirements: 2 hanks Manos del Uruguay Fino (70% Extrafine Merino/ 30% Silk; 100g/490yds) shown in 431 Chemise (WEBS do not carry this color)
Needles: US 5 (3.75mm) 32” circular to get gauge
Gauge: 24 sts and 40 rows = 4” in stockinette stitch, after blocking
