This is a slightly boxy, comfortable pullover to live in or mess about in.
The placement of the pockets magically creates a waist line even as the sweater is knitted straight without shaping
Messing about in Boats is knitted like all Ziggurats that is, in one piece, top-down, shoulders and sleeve caps knitted in one sweep, and then all in the round including the built-in pockets to just before the hem, where a bumforgiving slit requires a bit of back and forth knitting.
A simple rib collar is knitted on last. Not a seam in sight. Honest.
Skeins (Vivacious DK) required: 5 (5, 5, 5, 6) [6, 6, 6, 7, 7]
Approximate yardage: 950 (1000, 1100, 1150, 1200) [1300, 1350, 1400, 1450, 1500] m 1050 (1100, 1200, 1250, 1350) [1400, 1450, 1550, 1600, 1650] yds
