Laura Nelkin is obsessed with the Novus construction and wanted to see how she could incorporate it in a lacy summer pullover! Using a traditional Shetland Bead Stitch along the top, and reverse stockinette stitch for the body, Pacificus plays with drape. The open lace-work allows the bodice to fall beautifully while the body maintains its structure. The lace patterns are charted and written out.
Sizes: XXS (XS, S, M, L, 1X, 2X)
Finished Measurements: 29 (32, 36, 40, 44, 48, 52)” bust with approximately 4” positive ease
Yarn Requirements: 600 (660, 710, 880, 1000, 1100, 1200) yards of fingering weight yarn such as Valley Yarns Charlemont (60% Fine Superwash Merino Wool/ 20% Silk/ 20% Polyamide; 100g/439yds)
Needles: US 4 (3.50mm) 32” circular and a spare needle
Gauge:
19 sts and 31 rows = 4” in stockinette stitch, blocked
18 sts and 24 rows = 4” in Pacificus stitch, blocked
