Product Details
The concept of Log Cabin knitting is straightforward — modular knitting that can grow in all directions — but the execution can range from the simple to the complex. We’ll review the best practices in Log Cabinning, including different ways to pick up stitches for varying edge effects, and use the basic building blocks to jump off into fun constructions that explore color and shape in ways that are limited only by your imagination!
You will receive the Zoom link 1-2 business days before the virtual class.
Materials Required:
Smooth worsted weight yarn in
at least two different colors (but more colors are more fun!), 24” or longer
circular needles in the size you typically use with worsted yarn, OR a smooth
yarn in the weight of your choice and needles to match, a spare circular needle
in the same size or smaller.
HOMEWORK:
Cast on 14 stitches and work in garter stitch (knitting every row) until you have something close to a square. Keep the stitches live and do not cut the yarn.
When possible, please buy your materials from WEBS.
Cancellation
Policy: For all classes, payment of full tuition is due at time of
registration. Tuition will be refunded only if the class is cancelled by WEBS,
or if there is a waiting list and your spot can be filled.
