The Bridewell Hat from Nina Machlin Dayton is an intriguing colorwork hat. While the colorwork in this pattern appears complex, it is a great first colorwork project as it uses a simple technique that, for most of the patter, allows the knitter to only be knitting with one color at a time, and which produces a warm and thick fabric.
