Nina Machlin Dayton Teardrops Cowl PDF

Beads sparkle like tears running down the textured reverse stockinette and beaded picot edging of the Teardrops Cowl by Nina Machlin Dayton. In either a smaller or larger circumference, this cowl will add a little bit of glamour to your winter while keeping you warm and toasty. The cowl is knit in the round from the bottom up. The lace and bead pattern is charted and written out.

Yarn Requirement: Approximately 130 (195) yards of DK weight yarn such as Malabrigo Silky Merino (51% Silk/49% Merino Wool; 50g/150yds) shown in small blue sample
Beads: 162 (242) size 5/0 or “E” or size 6/0 seed beads. The samples show use 5/0, which is slightly bigger than the more common 6/0. You can use 6/0 beads; however, the result will be somewhat less sparkly than the samples shown in the pattern photographs
Needles:  US 5 (3.75mm) circular
Gauge: 22 sts = 4” in teardrop pattern
