*This class fulfills the Knitting Elective Requirement for WEKP.
Pages & Purls is a unique class series that blends reading and knitting, inspired by foundational knitting books. Join Malinda Lesko of Alchemy Fiber Mill for a part book club, part hands-on workshop experience, featuring guided discussion, practical knitting, and takeaways you can use beyond the classroom. Each session explores a different book. No two classes are the same!
Do you have beautiful multicolor skeins in your stash but aren’t sure how to use them? In this session of Pages & Purls, we’ll explore the Multicolor Yarns chapter of Margaret Radcliffe’s The Essential Guide to Color Knitting, translating key ideas into practical, on-the-needles strategies. You’ll learn how to better predict color behavior, and how to interrupt or change it when it’s not working, then put those concepts into practice by knitting the Double-Trouble bag using two multicolor yarns (pattern included in the book). This thoughtful, hands-on class will deepen both your color confidence and your knitting skills.
For the comfort and safety of our students and teachers, students may be asked to wear a mask during in person classes and workshops, and masks are available upon request.
