Do you get annoyed by the “jog” at the start of each new color when you knit stripes in the round? In this class, we’ll practice several different ways to avoid this jog and discuss the pros and cons of each technique. You’ll also learn techniques that are applicable to any project worked in the round, including how to join without twisting and how to make a smooth, invisible join in your cast-ons and bind-offs.
You will receive the Zoom link 1-2 business days before the virtual class.
Materials Required:
Needles: 16” circular US Size #7 or #8 AND 24" circular US Size #7 or #8
Yarn: 2 colors worsted weight
yarn (preferably solid)
HOMEWORK:
Using the 16" circular (either US #7 or 8) and one color of worsted weight yarn, cast on 96 stitches. Place a stitch marker and join in the round being careful not to twist the stitches. Knit three rounds. Leave yarn attached and bring to class.
