The Mini Turkish Spindle from Snyder Spindles is handmade from black walnut or maple. The arms measure 2.5" and the shaft is 4.25" long. The shafts have a small finial to hold the half hitch. Mini Turkish spindles weigh only 0.3–0.4 oz (8.5-11.5g) and are suitable for spinning thin, lace-weight yarns.
Turkish spindles have the unique advantage of creating a cop that doubles as a center-pull ball or plying ball! The shaft and arms slide out of place once you’ve finished spinning, leaving both ends of your singles free.
