Spinning Camp for Adults
Do you want to learn how to spin, use your handspun yarn, and get great tips for spinning unique, self-striping yarn? This week-long camp will have you spinning with confidence and using your handspun to knit a small project! Not only will you get expert instruction to get you spinning on the very first day, you'll learn how to ply, blend colorful roving to spin self-striping yarn, and finally, spin to knit a hat. Instruction in Navajo plying for color definition and how to make and use fiber sample cards will round out your personalized spinning class. Give yourself the gift of a week to learn this addictive craft! Wheels will be available to rent, and there is a $28 fiber pack to be purchased for this class.
Skill Level: Advanced Beginner
Prerequisite: Students should know how to knit in the round (you will make a hat with your handspun)

- Students will purchase fiber packs from WEBS (estimated cost $25)
- Wheel rental fee $75
- Bring 16" circular and double pointed needles for your hat (size will vary)
- Wheel (if you own one)
- Bobbins and lazy kate (if bringing own wheel)
