Tollgate from Stitches of My Life Designs is a beauty! This densely cabled poncho was designed with the idea that it can be worn instead of a jacket if the weather is slightly cool, or as an additional layer when it turns colder. It’s the perfect accessory for a walk on a cool, autumn day. This poncho is knit flat in one piece using short-rows for shaping. The provisionally cast-on edge is joined to the final row using Kitchener stitch, with the stitches for the ribbed collar picked up around the neckline and worked in the round. If you want to challenge yourself and try working your cables without a cable needle this is the perfect pattern to try! Cable pattern is in written form only.
