Product Details
A new and artistic take on the traditional cabled sweater, Irish Rover from Two of Sticks is a fascinating knit. This sweater has the structure of a traditional, top-down Aran pullover, but features cables on the front that drunkenly swagger, unravel, and improbably recombine as the knitting progresses. Charts are given for knitting the front of the sweater exactly as pictured, but you can easily improvise a cable pattern and enjoy how the fabric changes as you work. If you would prefer a more traditional look, another chart is provided for knitting the front “soberly,” to match the back. Knitting Irish Rover in Valley Yarns Northampton, an excellent, hard-wearing, worsted weight yarn, will ensure that you have this beautiful, completely unique sweater for many years to come.
