Offered in two length options, Valley Yarns Matanuska
is a simplified vest or duster, making the most of Hampden’s silk drape and
yummy softness. This women’s sweater is a perfect layering piece you’ll reach
for time and time again for added warmth and style. Makes an ideal first
sweater project for newer knitters. Matanuska is knit flat in pieces from the
bottom up with a simple eyelet rib stitch pattern at the hems and then seamed.
Valley Yarns Hampden is a stunningly soft blend of baby alpaca, Merino wool,
and silk available in a palette of rich, saturated colors. This yarn has a
wonderful balance of warmth, drape, and sheen from its fiber content.
