Valley Yarns 6/2 Unmercerized Cotton Yarn

While the weaving yarn was satisfactory, the very slow shipping despite the website saying things ship in 1-2 days (mine took 10+) and the lack of response from customer service when I called (no one ever answered). Emails were answered were a robot response and I never got a satisfactory answer as to when my yarns WOULD ship. I probably won’t buy through this company again.

I'm making an outfit for my granddaughter. She's going through an everything pink phase. Since this is unmercerized cotton, it's very soft for her skin, and her mother can launder it without worry. Right now I'm working on the jacket. They're tiny motifs crocheted together. The project is coming along really well. I took a chance with this size cotton, but it works up really well. I couldn't ask for better. I'd love to send a picture once it's finished.

The hand of towels woven with 6/2 are soft and plush, just delightful, I much prefer them to 8\2 cotton and 5/2 gives a stronger denser towel, so it is great for other uses, I like it when weaving barleycorn.

This is my favorite yarn for weaving dish towels on my rigid heddle loom. It makes a softer, more absorbant textile than mercerized cotton. It works well single or doubled. It’s strong and easy to handle.

The color is great, exactly what I was looking for. The yarn is fine. Had a few knots but I don’t know what the industry standard is for cones in relation to numbers of knots. I would buy this again.

Perfect for cool, black summer socks. I just wish it had a little nylon to help last longer.
