I love this yarn. I love the texture, I love the way it works up, I love the colors. I love the softness. I've made mittens and I'm working on a cardigan. One thing that took a little bit to get used to is that an extremely fine fiber (I assume silk?) often separates while I'm working with it. I literally thought I had a stray hair that got caught into my project. After the 5th or 6th time I realized that it wasn't my hair, it was part of the yarn, and it didn't seem to be actually coming apart, just lifting away for a couple of inches. Can we get more colors? Ombres or other variegated colors? And maybe larger yarn balls?
Nice and soft warn, can't wait to work with it.
This time I bought yarn that has yak in it. I can't wait to work with it.
This is a soft smooth yarn; however out of 14 skeins there was either a knot or a big fluff of wool that required cutting out in about 12 of them. In some I was able to tease the fluff out . I prefer a longer length skein. The color I chose...lichen....was much darker, but that may be my computer!
I love this yarn and order it often
soooo soft! can't wait to cast on

Westfield is a lovely yarn to knit with, it is soft and warm.I love that the silk and yak take up the dye differently than the wool, giving the yarn a very subtle sheen and depth. I am ordering my third batch today. I did have one extremely large slub (a big mass of 5 inches) that I found when starting a ball, thankfully), 2 of ten balls in my first order had a knot midway. Did not believe the knot problem large enough to downgrade for 4 stars. The price point is excellent.
