Worked seamlessly from the top down, Wee Chickadee from Ysolda is the perfect introduction to both the top-down, round-yoke construction and stranded colorwork. There are only eight purl rows worked in two colors, so the bulk (and potential scariness) of steeking your knitting is avoided. Wee Chicakdee is sized from three months to four years and features garter stitch cuffs that look equally good folded up or down, making it easier to extend the time it fits fast-growing little ones. Only small amounts of the contrast colors are required — perfect for using up odds and ends and customizing the color palette.
