I longed to have an excuse to work with this yarn ;) and finally saw a project in a Vogue knitting book - a kimono style jacket with light and dark yarns. I susbsituted the light yarn with this one and have a fantastic jacket!

I do like Silk Garden better. In Kureopatora, the colors repeat themselves the same way and in the same length of color repeats so there is less interest in the color design than in other Noro yarns. The other problem was even though all of the color repeats are exactly the same, somewhere as a fluke they put in short lengths of a few colors out of order and I had to rip a lot of stitches because I didn't realize it in time. It really didn't look right to give as a present unless it was redone. I think Noro should be more careful about this. If you don't need a yarn with any drape, this might work for you as the color combos are dramatic. I bought several skeins, but will not buy any more but stick to the other Noro yarns that I love. I bought color 1009.

I nade a super hat. Warm as toast. The yarn broke when I pulled really hard to tie it off so be careful there. Nice yarn and would certainly recommend it.

Crocheted several pairs of fingerless mitts with Kureo. Easy to work with, a pleasure to see the colors unfold.

I saw a pattern in the Noro magazine and wanted the exact yarn shown. My local yarn shop didn't carry this particular Noro yarn so I was so pleased to find it online. I not only received the yarn very timely, I was given a generous discount even though I was a first time customer.

Great yardage for price, typical Noro thick thin&twisty

New to Noro (I know, I live under a rock.) Bought #25 for MC for Inspira Cowl (free/ravelry) and yet again the photos downplay the saturation of the colors. The greens and blues were much more vivid/intense than indicated BUT I still liked the overall color play a lot as it developed. Friend told me to expect to deal with junk in yarn and twisty-ness. Not much debris to pull out, but def. twisty. The big plus: the hand of the all-wool fiber was deliciously soft from the get-go. Very thin like string/fingering then thick like unspun roving, but I got used to it. Overall, the yardage/price makes it a yarn I'll return to for self-stripe projects. I love wearing the FO, and have a hankering to do another in diff. color scheme.
