Excellent yarn for baby outfits but always has a big blob to start with.
Paintbox DK is a very great yarn to work with. It is soft and just right for anything you would want to knit for babies as well as little stuffed animals. I love it!

Very much like Stylecraft Special DK which I love! Very little splitting and piling. Lovely to work with.
If the yarn were better wound in the skein, I'd give it a 5. As I was working within one skein it was in several separate sections, it was frustrating to keep piecing it together.
It is nice to work with. I am enjoying it very much.
I am a long time knitter that had taken some time off from the needles but once I discovered Paintbox Yarns I regained my semi lost interest in knitting. Finding the right yarn, ply, and color to knit a smashing winter hat for my sister was just the beginning of renewing a long time love affair with knitting a flaming red bonnet to top off a head full of curls. Needless to say my interest in selecting the next choice of Paintbox yarn (deep blue if I can find it) for a knitted sweater for myself is my next project. Really looking forward to it!
