Shawl Shaping and Design
We will learn everything you need to start designing your own shawls for personal or professional purposes. We will cover formulas and construction for 30 different shawl shapes and 5 types of edgings, learn how increases and decreases interact and impact fabric bias, how increases and decreases relate to the look of yarn overs, how to add new stitches to your pattern as the shawl grows, how to transition from one lace pattern to another, and talk a little about blocking and pattern writing. The class includes 43 pages of handouts, which will be provided.
