Product Details
Here’s a new twist on an old twill. Point twill has been a staple of weavers forever and advancing twills came into their own with the advent of computer assisted designing. This draft plays with an advancing point twill, but enlarges each unit to: 1,2,3,2,1, etc. It does require a little more attention both in threading and treadling, but the effect is quite nice, especially with the luster of Valley Yarns 5/2 Bamboo!
Equipment: 8-shaft loom, at least 15” weaving width; 1 shuttle, temple (optional, but helpful).
Finished size: 7” x 72”, or desired length. Be sure to complete the treadling unit.
Yarn: Valley Yarns 5/2 Bamboo.
Warp: Royal - 459 yards
Weft: Azure - 390 yards for a 3-yard, 1 scarf warp (But why not wind a 6-yard warp and weave two scarves for just a little more effort?)
Sett: 18 epi
Sley: 2 ends/dent in a 9-dent reed; 1, 2, 1, 2, etc. in a 12-dent reed.
Warp ends: 155 including floating selvages.

This is a beautiful intricate pattern. The photograph does not do it justice! WEBS needs to show a closeup with the pattern.
