Beginning Inkle Loom Weaving
This class is currently full. Please contact Customer Service at 1-800-367-9327 to be put on the wait list.
Inkle looms are wonderful little looms that introduce new weavers to this versatile craft and give more experienced weavers a chance to try a new aspect of weaving. The bands that are woven on an inkle can be used as trim for sewing projects, straps for cameras or tote bags, or as beautiful ribbons for wrapping gifts. The possibilities are endless!
In this class you'll learn ideas for choosing colors for your project, how to warp your loom and best practices for weaving your bands. In addition to learning the basics we will also delve into more advanced techniques using pick-up to create letters and other designs. This is a hands-on class so you will need access to an inkle loom. Recommended resource book: The Weaver's Inkle Pattern Directory by Anne Dixon.
