I love the Cascade 220 yarns for weaving baby blankets. The colors, soft texture and weight are perfect to keep newborns warm when the temperatures start to drop… Cascade 220 is my go to yarn!
First time trying this yarn and do like the feel and it is soft . It does split a little when crocheting but is workable. Will try knitting with it soon for some winter hats. At this point would recommend, and do appreciate the wide color choices. Also like the fast shipping!!
Cascade yarns knit up beautifully with nice stitch definition. I have only used the worsted weight. I’ve been using them for years. I will say that the newer yarn is not as substantial as the yarn I got about 10 years ago.
I am crocheting a hexagram cardigan and the yarn is a dream to crochet with. I also plan to knit with this because it feels so good to work with. Note, I haven't blocked my gauge square, not my almost finished cardigan yet. I may regret going forward without blocking my gauge squate, but I want to obtain a fabric steamer as this yarn 100% doesn't seem washer safe at all. Cascade has the superwash yarn line instead if you want to wash your work.
I received my items quickly. I am making a beautiful tunic length sweater for next winter. I also had a return from this order. I was very impressed with the great customer service I received. They were friendly, informative and took care of my return quickly when I called them.
Cascade 220 is a great "workhorse" wool. The price point is perfect, especially if you--like I--are knitting large projects. I was able to get the exact colors I needed to complete a full-size blanket in college colors for my great-niece.

I love working with this yarn. It knits up nice and smooth. I'm currently making stuffed animal toys with outfits. This yarn was recommended in the pattern book.
