Noro Transitions is a delightful, single-ply blend of wool, silk, cashmere, angora, alpaca, mohair and camel. This unique blend of fibers gives this yarn a soft hand and great visual texture, as the various fibers take dye differently. Projects will fly off your needles or hook with this bulky, self-striping yarn in glorious Noro colors.

Please Note: Due to the hand crafted nature of this yarn, knot may occasionally be found in skeins and color joins may vary.

Too flaky, Wish I didn't buy it

The saying "too many cooks" describes this yarn. Too many fibers and whatever the short white strands that fleck off make it very unappealing. I regret buying it. Can I return it?

OK performer, standard problems with Noro

Comments about NORO Transitions:

I use this yarn to make cowl, hat, and mitts sets. It's not exceptionally soft, but I don't wear them for long periods of time, so it does fine. I wish the diameter of the yarn strand were more consistent and I always get aggravated by the grass, sticks, and trash that make it into the yarn, but Noro's colors are usually unmatched. I'll note that with this particular yarn that wasn't the case. I bought several skeins of this particular brand and colorway five or six years ago and loved it, but the new run is unrecognizable when put next to it. The colors are all much paler and where it used to be jet black it's now a medium gray, so beware of color swatch samples you see. They were probably done years ago and may not be representative.

Comments about NORO Transitions:

Good ole Noro! You can't go wrong...however, I have to say that I believe they are manufacturing this differently then in the past. There seems to be a LOT of loose silk threads compared to years ago. Color is still the best.

Comments about NORO Transitions:

Works up allright. Has heavier hand than I thought it would have. Made on scarf...more in progress. Colors are different than I thought, but quite attractive.

I would buy this yarn again.

Comments about NORO Transitions:

I give this yarn a 5 star rating, only drawback albeit small is knots in each skein, but easy to
work around. I combined Transitions with a novelty eyelash so the sweater turned out very
cuddly and dramatic, added a rhinestone button for bling.

Every skein has breaks -tough to "transition"

By

Comments about NORO Transitions:

Difficult to knit when the breaks in every skein do not transition. Get an extra skein so that you can pull it apart and splice for the transitions to actually work. The little white threads are only in green, brown, and black so they look really messy and not like those colors have the same fiber content as the other colors.

Not sure how I feel about this ...

Comments about NORO Transitions:

I agree with the other reviewer that there are just too many types of fiber included... especially the black with the funny white threads. That one area looks very messy. I made a long cowl with this, and I will definitely wear it, but probably won't buy this yarn again.
