WEBS Transition FAQ

In December of 2020, WEBS was acquired by LoveCrafts. Kathy and I have had two wonderful years continuing to run WEBS and assuming Global Yarn responsibilities for LoveCrafts. We have had the pleasure of continuing to work with our fabulous WEBS team, while also working closely with many of the talented folks at LoveCrafts. We believe we've accomplished a lot in the merging of the two companies and feel the time is right for us to step away and focus on our next chapter. Kathy and I will retire from WEBS & LoveCrafts in December 2022. We are confident we are leaving the WEBS tradition safely in the hands of our existing team. They have years of experience and know the business as well as we do. They will continue to serve our incredible customers and community that my mother Barbara established and my father Art helped her build before Kathy and I took the reins.

Kathy and I understand that this may feel like a big change and want to make sure that you have confidence about how things will be going forward. Our retirement may mark the end of an era in the WEBS story, but in no way does it mean the end of WEBS's service and commitment to our customers and community that has been built over the past 48 years. The future of WEBS is as bright as ever and holds the promise of even more opportunities with the entirety of the LoveCrafts team behind it as well.

Aside from our departure, the day to day interactions each of you have with WEBS will remain the same. Same great selection of yarns and equipment, same great team, same great discount and speedy delivery.

It has been such a privilege to share our last 20 years with each of you. When we first started at WEBS, we weren't sure we were up for the challenge, but thanks to all of you, our time at WEBS has been the highlight of our professional careers. Kathy and I are ready to embrace our next chapter and thank you all for your support, for your loyalty and for helping us to be a better business.

We've compiled some common questions with answers below to let you know what you can expect. The main takeaway is that WEBS will continue to operate in the same way that it always has. What will happen to the WEBS store?

The WEBS Retail Store isn’t going anywhere! We will continue to offer the same product selection and service that you have come to expect.

Will my WEBS account and orders be affected?

Your account login and password will be the same. If you have accounts on both yarn.com and lovecrafts.com using the same email address, some of your patterns may show in both Libraries. You have only been charged for the patterns once, but since our internal systems are now connected, information that is in both places will be available in both places in this aspect. Customers who do not have a LoveCrafts account will not be signed up for one, and customers who do not have a WEBS account will not be signed up for one.

What will happen to current orders?

Order fulfillment is happening exactly as it always has, and will continue to do so.

What about shipping? Will my orders be affected?

There will be no change to shipping and orders will be processed, packed, and shipped in the same location and same manner as they have been.

Will prices change with this transition?

No. While many factors have been impacting prices in the past couple of years, namely rising material costs and inflation, the partnership with LoveCrafts isn’t one of them (and it won’t be in the future).

Will the WEBS Discount be applicable on LoveCrafts.com?

Unfortunately, no. The two websites operate independently from one another and discounts and promotions from one cannot be applied to the other.

Can I combine WEBS and LoveCrafts orders?

No, as we have the separate websites, order fulfillment processes, and shipping facilities, it isn’t possible to combine orders from both.
