The color I ordered is called Verdigris- looked like bluish-teal, it's actually a dusty emerald, very green. Very nicely plied, not a single knot or join in any of the three skeins. Can't wait to use it! Only thing that kept me from giving 5 stars is the weight; it's not really quite worsted weight, closer to DK.

Comments about Cascade Yarns Pure Alpaca:
I absolutely LOVE this yarn - it is the softest on the planet! It is dense enough to use sz 10 or 10.5, maybe 11. So it works up fast. But it's not too chunky, just thick enough for a serious sweater or very warm scarf. Or to be less dense, you can use a pattern that has holes or lace effect. It is also not stiff, and drapes very nicely! Lastly, they have MANY colors to choose from! Solids, as well as painted variegated. What a feast for the eye and the skin!

Comments about Cascade Yarns Pure Alpaca:
This was a fun yarn to discover. It was very soft and reminded me of the angora sweaters people wore back in the day BUT without the annoying hairs launching themselves and shedding everywhere. There is a slick feel to this yarn which is difficult to explain. It has a slippery feel as though it would unknot after a while.

Comments about Cascade Yarns Pure Alpaca:
I found that this yarn is wonderfully soft and has a nice drape when knitted. It is best used with bamboo needles because it is slippery with metal needles. Wonderful drape. It is listed as worsted but is a bit lighter. Recommended needles were US 7 but I had to use US 6. Great fiber for those of us allergic to wool.

Webs is the best! An error was made with the color, but I quickly received the correct color, along with postage to return the other yarn. I ended up keeping both orders, because the yarn is very nice.

Comments about Cascade Yarns Pure Alpaca:
Yarn doesn't get any better than this one. It is dreamy, buttery soft, has beautiful drape, fab selection of colours and yardage is great! I don't mind that it sheds a little.
I love working with it and planning to knit sweaters out of it as soon as I can.

The baby alpaca has an elegant, soft drape. The heathered colors are beautifully dyed. It's a joy to knit. I'm making sweaters for cool winter evenings in Florida. And I got it on sale so I bought 2 colors. I am addicted to baby alpaca!

Comments about Cascade Yarns Pure Alpaca:
I ordered enough bright lt. green yarn for a lace pattern sweater in December...halfway finished now. This will be so great for Spring (soon!) I was so pleased with the yarn, I ordered enough for 2 more sweaters - navy and the gray with the undertones of blue in it. The colors on all are simply beautiful. No joins or slubby pieces in any of the 4 hanks I've wound so far. I am a huge fan of Alpaca. I love the softness, light weight, warmth and drape. This yarn is by far the nicest quality alpaca I've used at even close to this price point. It is a bit closer to a DK than a worsted, in my opinion. This is good for me as alpaca is stretchy by nature and grows a bit - so the fit is right on in the finished garment. (If I had more money in my yarn stash account -I'd buy more!)

Comments about Cascade Yarns Pure Alpaca:
Making sweaters for children. Always worry about the final products weight and if it is soft and not scratchy. The weight of the final product is good, and it is so soft. This is knitting up nicely, and has a nice stretch to it.
