    Comments about Frog Tree Meriboo:

I really love the subtle sheen to this yarn. I'm making a sweater with cable braids that run down the sides and the sleeves. Perhaps it's because of the oatmeal color, but the sweater has already adoted that traditional fisherman's sweater look. It looks natural. It looks warm. But you know what? It looks slightly silky, too. My sweater looks a bit more feminine, a little less heavy, for the sheen. The yarn is beautiful to work with, is soft, doesn't seem to pill. I would buy it again. It is true, however, that it really isn't a DK weight. I can alter patterns, and my sweater will pull through, but an accurate description of stitches-per-inch is important, especially when buying online. I had to take one star away for a sketchy gauge. So four, instead of five stars.

      Comments about Frog Tree Meriboo:

I have designed and am knitting a Poncho with this yarn. To my delight it has a beautiful hand and knits like butter. I see no signs of pilling or frizz. I knits it multiple gauges depending on needles used. Smaller needles lend to DK, size 8/9 gives a worsted weight. Textured stitchs are beautiful, light weight with enough loft to really POP your stitches. Five others in my knitting pattern have bought the same yarn in order to test knit my pattern. The colors are scrumptious.

        Comments about Frog Tree Meriboo:

The yarn is lovely and soft. I ordered enough to knit a sweater because the close out price was hard to resist and my pattern called for DK weight yarn. I swatched it and realize it is not going to work for the pattern as it's more a worsted weight. I'll make a poncho instead I guess. Next time I will pay more attention to yardage, as I don't see much difference between most worsted weight yardage at 200-220 yards per 100 grams to this yarn. I just wish they hadn't marketed it as DK. Otherwise it's a very nice yarn.

        Comments about Frog Tree Meriboo:

I am knitting an intricate cabled jacket/sweater with this yarn for myself. I LOVE the way it feels and the colors are perfect for cables - not too dark. The yarn really shows each stitch well and is a joy to work with. My only complaint, and it's not really about the yarn, is the center pull balls the yarn comes in are very loosely wound and start falling apart from the outside almost right away creating a tangled mess of yarn. To avoid this, I now rewind each skein into a ball before using it. This is the reason I only gave 4 stars. The yarn itself is lovely.

            Comments about Frog Tree Meriboo:

Beautiful yarn. Did a cabled sweater and it is gorgeous. The yarn is in the sport catagory, but I feel it is more more towards worsted. I usually knit true to the suggested gauge, but with this yarn I used a US 5 needle and got 5.25 st in ST.
