This is a gorgeous yarn, great texture, easy to work with, and you get a lot of yardage for the money. I made a tunisian crochet shawl and really couldn't be happier with the end product. You need to be a little careful if you have to rip anything back as it's a little fuzzy, but overall it was very easy to work with. I took off one star for the irregularities, but overall I'd be happy to use this yarn again. The ivory color is about perfect, incidentally, not too white, not too yellow.

Comments about CASCADE YARNS Forest Hills:

This is absolutely beautifully soft yarn. I have not yet begun to use it because I need a special hook and wasn't able to find it in any store around here. I ordered it on-line and it won't be here for at least another week. I cannot wait to work with it!

Good Lace Yarn, Very Soft and Pretty Smooth

By

Comments about CASCADE YARNS Forest Hills:

This yarn was soft and knit easily. I knit a christening gown and my gauge on US 2 needles was about 32 stitches in 4". I did a burn test before starting and although I am not an expert at verifying fiber content it was definitely natural fiber as stated on the label. The yarn could have been more even as it did get thinner and thicker in some places with a very occasional 'slub' but not enough to compromise the appearance of my finished piece. Also, I was disappointed that "White" really should have been called "Natural" instead. When I had to pull out a few rows it re-knit pretty well. Overall this was a very nice yarn and I would use it again.

Comments about CASCADE YARNS Forest Hills:

I was pleasantly surprised at this yarn. I bought it for the color and great yardage. It knit up well and did not split. The silk lends a beautiful sheen and it is incredibly soft with a nice drape. I would say that it is a very light weight of fingering and seemed to really be closer to a heavy lace weight.

Comments about CASCADE YARNS Forest Hills:

I bought this specifically for shawls, and it has not disappointed me. I did a test piece, with 5,7 & 9 loop nupps. The nupps were consistently perfect and very easy to execute. I just finished a shawl with an Estonian lace border. This yarn blocks nicely, and the nupps stay in place. The colors are lovely, vibrant. My one criticism is that occasionally there was a fuzzy clump on the strand. But I was able to remove them easily and continue.
